Sapon Insurance Brokers was founded on 9 December 1996 and has grown into divisions for general insurance, medical insurance, group life cover, and pension consulting and administration. Our clients are individuals, small and medium enterprises and large corporates in most counties.
Sapon Insurance Brokers Limited is registered as an insurance broker under the Insurance Act, 1984, and as a pension scheme administrator under the Retirement Benefits Authority Act, 1997. Our head office is in Nairobi and we have a branch in Eldoret.

Esther trained as an underwriter before becoming an insurance broker. She has been with Sapon since 1996 and is a director of the company.

John has been with Sapon since it was founded in 1996 and has more than 25 years in the insurance industry. He holds a BCom in Insurance from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Insurance from the College of Insurance, and has completed local and international courses including the Governance for Directors Development programme at the Co-operative University College of Kenya. He is National Chairman of the Association of Insurance Brokers of Kenya (AIBK), a member of the Academic Affairs Committee at the College of Insurance, and a member of the AKI/AIBK Committee Liaison for Underwriters and Brokers (CLUB).

Antony joined Sapon in January 2009 and heads the pension department. He has more than 30 years in the pension industry, including 14 years at ICEA (now ICEA LION) from 1990 to 2004: four years in the servicing section and ten in life claims. He is also an ordained senior minister with Redeemed Gospel Church, pastoring RGC Wikililye and overseeing 19 other churches.

Patrick has been with Sapon for two years. He is responsible for tenders, marketing, underwriting of corporate business and sourcing new business, and has handled tenders, claims and underwriting for several of our recent corporate clients.

Judith joined Sapon in 2023. She has three years of experience in underwriting, risk assessment and client relationship management.
